Georgia Department of Transportation maintenance crews will continue to make improvements to the U-turn areas on Ga. 347 near Reunion Way in Flowery Branch.
Crews began work Nov. 1, excavating near the area that will allow motorists to make a U-turn. According to GDOT, these areas are often referred to as “eyebrows.”
Work on this section of the roadway will continue in the westbound lanes this month with an expected completion in early December.
Increasing the size of these area enhances safety for larger-sized vehicles and school busses that need to make a U-turn.
Crews will create daytime single lane closures 8:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
