The Roswell City Council has approved adding breweries and wineries to the establishments that may allow the carry-out of beer or wine in a restaurant district, and extended the hours of craft beer and wine markets.

Roswell allows the outdoor consumption of alcoholic beverages in designated restaurant districts, if purchased from a licensed premise in the district. The limit is one drink per person, in a disposable paper or plastic cup of up to 16 ounces, between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Craft beer and wine markets can open no earlier than 11 a.m. and make no package sales after 11:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Sunday sales, if licensed, are allowed for craft beer and wine between 12:30 and 11:30 p.m. The markets may allow consumption on the premises between 11 a.m. and 2 a.m., Monday-Saturday (into Sunday), and if licensed, from 12:30 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
