Roswell could see a windfall of $79 million to $107 million for transportation improvements over the next five years – if residents vote to approve a 0.75 cent sales tax Nov. 8.

The city of Roswell has scheduled three public meetings to explain the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum. Presentations, project information and Q&A sessions led by members of the city’s Transportation Department are scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at City Hall, Oct. 6 at East Roswell Park and Oct. 18 at Hembree Park.

The TSPLOST vote is for unincorporated Fulton County and 13 Fulton cities other than Atlanta. Roswell’s project list includes improvements to Big Creek Parkway, Rucker Road, the intersection of Osbo Road and Atlanta Street, and the city’s Atlanta Street/Ga. 9 Historic Gateway; a bridge replacement for Old Holcomb Bridge Road; and design work for a new Holcomb Bridge Road/Ga. 400 interchange.
