The Roswell City Council recently approved two sites for advanced voting during the three weeks leading up to a special election to fill the unexpired term for Post 4, vacated after a Council member resigned.

Advance voting will take place Feb. 27 through March 17 at the Roswell Public Library, 115 Norcross St., and the East Roswell Public Library, 2301 Holcomb Bridge Road.

The cost of training, staffing and technical support for voting at the two locations is estimated at $47,880 total, according to a staff report. The amount will be added to the contract with Fulton County to conduct the election March 21.

The vote is to replace Kent Igleheart, who resigned Nov. 1 from the Council after his arrest on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, enticing a child for indecent purposes and furnishing alcohol to a minor. Igleheart’s four-year term expires Dec. 31.
