The Roswell City Council has approved a contract worth $2.39 million to have Allied Paving Contractors resurface local streets.

Allied submitted the most responsible, responsive low bid of seven received by the city, staff said in a report to the council. The contract runs for one year with an option to renew.

Roswell’s 2018 LMIG (Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant) program, funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation, lists six projects: Chaffin Road from Crabapple Road to Northgate Trace; Dogwood Road from Riverside to Grimes Bridge roads; Hembree Road from Chaffin to Crabapple roads; Lake Charles Drive from Pine Grove to Jones roads; Mansell Road from Ga. 92 to Ga. 140; and Riverside from Ga. 9 to Dogwood.

Additionally, the city’s fiscal 2018 Street Resurfacing and Rejuvenation List shows 27 streets to be resurfaced, totaling 30,504 feet in length in 98,224 square yards in area.
