Free community classes in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will be offered in November by the Roswell Fire Department.
The classes are scheduled for 9 and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Fire Station 7, 8025 Holcomb Bridge Road, Alpharetta.
Space is limited to 20 participants per class, according to a city announcement. They must be at least 12 years old and residents of Roswell. Instructors will use the American Heart Association's Family & Friends CPR course.
“This course is for individuals who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for a job,” the city said. “The course is ideal for teachers, students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.”
Lifesaving skills to be covered include adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant, the city said. Information, and to register: https://bit.ly/2HKefGT
