The Roswell Historical Society has several events planned for October, which is Georgia Archives Month.

A flea market called the second annual Great Flea Fling will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hembree Farm. The farm is at 775  Hembree Road, near Hembree Springs Elementary School.

The society’s general membership meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Roswell Historical Society on the second floor of the city cultural arts center at 950 Forest St. The photograph collections housed in the city archives will be highlighted.

A workshop on preserving family photographs will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 22 in the cultural arts center. The class costs $5. To make reservations, call 770-594-6405 or e-mail edeniro@roswellgov.com.

An exhibit titled "Photographic Memories of the King and allied Families" will be displayed in the Roswell City Hall rotunda through October. The photos show members and ancestors of the founding families of Roswell.
