The Roswell City Council has approved an intergovernmental agreement in which the city would help Mountain Park manage projects funded by the special sales tax for transportation approved last fall by Fulton County voters.

Mountain Park has identified stormwater improvements and quick response projects for its projected, $630,000 share of the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

Roswell will use its program manager to assist Mountain Park in identifying projects to design and construct; monitor incoming revenue to establish a delivery schedule; and procure design and construction services, according to the intergovernmental agreement. Mountain Park will pay Roswell’s program manager for hours billed up to $6,300.

Residents of unincorporated Fulton and 13 municipalities other than Atlanta approved the five-year, 0.75-percent TSPLOST on Nov. 8.
