The city of Roswell will hold a 10 a.m. April 16 ribbon-cutting to open its new adaptive therapeutic sports field at the Waller Park Extension, 160 Dobbs Drive.

The field will feature a synthetic turf that will allow both wheelchairs and walkers to move freely. City officials said the installation will enable the city to open up its adaptive programs to include such sports as youth baseball and softball.

The field costs approximately $105,000 to install, with the money coming from the Roswell Rotary Club, the Roswell Recreation Association, a private donor and the Roswell Parks friends group.
