The Roswell Reads steering committee has chosen “My Name Is Mary Sutter” by Robin Oliveira as this year's selection for the community-wide reading program.

The historical novel tells about the struggles of a headstrong midwife during the Civil War who follows her dream of becoming a physician.

Programs are planned in conjunction with the book for the next three months, including discussions, a photo contest, a panel discussion and a luncheon with the author.
