Zion Missionary Baptist Church has dropped its request to use a house at 944 Myrtle St. as a youth center, a church leader told the Roswell City Council Tuesday night.

The church sought a variance months ago. Myrtle Street residents opposed the idea, saying noise and parking would be a problem. The Rev. Frank Lewis said the church will use the house as a residence, which would not require a variance.
