Roswell officials will break ground at noon Wednesday on an indoor therapeutic pool center. The $3.6 million project — a new amenity for its older adult residents — will be at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road.

City officials say the pool will allow park department staffers to offer health and wellness programs targeted primarily to participants ages 50 and up. The project will include lockers, restrooms, showers and zero-depth entrance into the pool.

The pool complex is being paid for by a combination of city parks department funds and proceeds from a 2012 voter-approved bond referendum.
