The Roswell City Council has approved a $124,232 design contract for improvements at the intersection of West Crossville Road (Ga. 92) and Woodstock/King Road.

The project includes right-turn lane improvements from northbound Woodstock to eastbound Ga. 92; and a turn-lane extension along King north of Ga. 92 for 600 feet to the Roswell High School student parking lot entrance, according to council meeting minutes.

KCI Technologies Inc., one of the city’s on-call engineering consultants, will complete a traffic analysis, and develop a conceptual layout for improvements and a preliminary design including storm water analysis and utility coordination, among other tasks, according to a staff report to the council.

KCI also will coordinate permits or waivers needed from the Georgia Department of Transportation; and provide a final plan set with a detailed cost estimate, staff said.
