Duluth, Johns Creek, Fulton and Gwinnett counties are working together to redesign and construct a pedestrian and bikeway bridge to connect trails to Duluth’s Rogers Bridge Park and Johns Creek Park.

The current condition of the bridge is unsafe and dangerous for public use. For the public’s safety, Duluth and Johns Creek have installed fencing and signage to prevent public access. Violators will be prosecuted for trespassing.

The historic steel bridge remains cross over the Chattahoochee River just north of Abbotts Bridge Road/Highway 120. The bridge and surrounding area is permanently protected as part of the National Park Service’s Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
