Road name change approved in Fairview

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted July 7 to rename a section of West Panola Road. It is now known as West Village Parkway.

That name was already given to a new section of road which essentially rerouted West Panola to Fairview Road adjacent to a large tract slated to a medical complex which is expected to be under construction soon.

The old leg of West Panola Road that extends west from East Atlanta Road retains its original name.
