Road closures will impact significant thoroughfares in two Northside cities this week
Alpharetta officials will close Old Canton Street and the portion of Milton Avenue between Ga. 9 and Roswell/Canton Street at 11 p.m. Friday and will re-open them by 11 p.m. Saturday. The 24-hour ban on driving and parking will allow for paving and maintenance work on the downtown thoroughfares.
In addition, Johns Creek officials said occasional lane closures on State Bridge Road between State Bridge Elementary School and Twingate Road could last through Friday. Bad weather has delayed plans for a deceleration lane for a new subdivision on the south side of State Bridge.
