Johns Creek officials said the city’s annual Founder’s Day parade Saturday will necessitate a series of road closures.

A 1.5 mile stretch of State Bridge Road between Morton and Kimball Bridge roads will be shut down in stages between 8 a.m. and noon. Side street closures will also be in effect in the same area. Traffic from Twingate Road will be allowed to enter and exit State Bridge Road in the direction of Medlock Bridge Road.

About 10,000 spectators are expected for the approximately 80-unit parade, which commemorates the city’s 2006 establishment.
