The Riverdale City Council approved the adoption of its fiscal year 2018 budget at a recent meeting.

The budget is $13,117,147, an increase of $261,536, or 2.03 percent from the fiscal year 2017 budget. The city said taxes are not going up.

The council’s consent agenda items included the approval to renew a janitorial service contract to Building Maintenance Services Inc. in the amount of $7,475.25 and the approval of a contract for Boss Stone Concrete Hardscapes to remove pavers in front of City Hall for $9,800.

The Riverdale City Council’s regular meetings take place at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at City Hall, 7200 Church St.
