Riverdale begins early voting Oct. 12 for November election

The Clayton County Board of Elections & Registration will begin early voting Oct. 12 through Oct. 30 in Riverdale for the Nov. 3 municipal election. Early voting will take place 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Elections and Registration Office located at 121 S. McDonough Street, Jonesboro and the Old City Hall of Riverdale located at 6690 Church Street, Riverdale.

The offices up for election are mayor and city council ward 4. The city council ward 2 post is up for renewal, but the only candidate is incumbent An’cel G. Davis.

Candidates for mayor are Evelyn Wynn-Dixon (incumbent) and Geralmy D. Swint. Candidates for ward 4 are Kenneth Ruffin (incumbent), Gozers R. S. Antionette and Marcus Merritt

The Old City Hall of Riverdale will be the only polling location open on Election Day. The hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
