Upper Chattachoochee Riverkeeper, Trout Unlimited and The National Park Service plan to "Sweep the Hooch" in a massive cleanup Saturday.

The Riverkeeper announced volunteers will clean up 18 sites within 48 miles of the national recreation area. Waders will collect trash in the shallows and on banks while paddlers will pick up in areas not accessible to hikers.

The Riverkeeper hopes the camaraderie will help build the river community. All volunteer spots are already filled.
