The owner of Tara's Fine Jewelry in Buford is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four gunmen who robbed his store just before lunchtime on Tuesday.

The reward was initially $10,000.

According to police, the suspects entered at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, waved their guns and smashed jewelry cases with hammers. They grabbed a sizable amount of jewelry. One robber hit a customer in the head with a pistol before the suspects fled in a large SUV. The customer was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Tara's is located at 1829 Buford Highway, near the intersection with South Lee Street.
