A reward of up to $2,000 has been posted for information leading to the arrest of a man who stole a $38,000 watch from a Buckhead jewelry store late last month.

According to Atlanta police, the man went into Ross-Simons Jewelry in Phipps Plaza about 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 to look at a watch.

A Breitling 18kt gold watch valued at $38,000 was taken out of the showcase to show the man.

The suspect looked at the watch, then ran out of the store, taking the watch with him.

The thief was described as a black male in his 20s, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a slim build and with a short haircut or bald.

Police asked that anyone with information on the suspect call Crimestoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
