DeKalb County residents in the area that recently voted to become part of Chamblee have officially asked the owner of a nearby office complex to stop a legal battle to keep the center from also joining the city.

Cenury Center’s owners are trying to instead join Brookhaven. Brookhaven voted to annex the 100-acre complex in October, before the November vote that put the area, and complex, into Chamblee on Dec. 30.

The Dresden East Civic Association recently adopted a resolution asking the legal fight stop so that the entire are joins Chamblee at once.

The legal battle is scheduled to head to the state Court of Appeals this spring or summer.
