Snellville City Council voted unanimously Monday night to send Lynnwood Development Group’s revised plans for a new neighborhood near Eastside Medical Center back to the city planning commission.

The developer’s original plan, previously approved by the planning commission, included 361-units with apartments and townhomes. Tentatively approved restrictions stipulated the apartments be restricted to residents 55 and older.

Revised plans call for 92 single-family homes starting at $350,000, with no apartments.

A public hearing on the development is rescheduled for Nov 6. to Nov. 10.
