DeKalb County police are investigating a report that a 14-year-old girl was abducted and raped after she was dropped off by a school bus near her home.

The McNair High School student told DeKalb school police that after she got off the bus, a man she did not know approached her, threatened her with a knife, dragged her into a nearby abandoned home and raped her.

The alleged attack happened Aug. 17. Police told Channel 2 Action News that they learned of the incident Sunday after the teen went to a hospital.

Investigators got the case Monday and were to speak with the teen and her mother.
