Report: 2 people shot at apartment near University of West Georgia

Authorities are investigating a double shooting at an apartment complex near the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Police told Channel 2 that two men knocked on the door of an apartment at River’s Edge Apartments on Brumbelow Road in Carrollton earlier in the evening. The apartment complex is less than a mile away from the University of West Georgia campus.

Someone inside the apartment shot the men multiple times, WSB reported. After being shot, the men ran out of the aprtment and collapsed nearby, according to police. The two men were airlifted to hospitals in Atlanta, according to Channel 2. Their conditions were not immediately known.
