11Alive News reported that Rev. Joseph Lowery was admitted to Crawford Long Hospital this weekend.

The 88-year-old Lowery, a Civil Rights icon, is in the intensive care unit, 11Alive News said. The TV station attributed the information to friends of the Lowery family.
