Heads up, Forsyth County motorists: An intersection of Ga. 400 north of Cumming will be partially closed to traffic over three days starting Monday, July 23, as Georgia Department of Transportation crews seek to complete a resurfacing project before the new school year begins.

The work is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Ga. 400 and Browns Bridge Road (Ga. 369), GDOT said. Browns Bridge will be closed Monday, while one lane of Ga. 400 northbound and southbound will be open to traffic. A Browns Bridge detour will be posted.

On Tuesday, July 24, crews will pave the inside lanes of Ga. 400; and on Wednesday, July 25, the outside lanes. Single lane closures on Ga. 400 will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. those two days.
