Repair work on a washed-out section of Indian Creek Road southwest of Locust Grove had been going on for a few weeks and should be completed before the end of July.

About 12 feet of damaged concrete culvert has already been replaced, although the start of that work was delayed slightly because of heavy rain in mid-June that also necessitated the installation of additional concrete. Dirt backfilling and repaving was scheduled to begin July 8, after which the road will be reopened. There is a detour in place around the section of the road that is closed.

Indian Creek Road is one of three roads that cross I-75 along the seven-mile stretch between the interchanges at Bill Gardner Pkwy. in Locust Grove and Hwy. 16 in Butts County.
