Construction on the pedestrian foot bridge in Murphey Candler Park begins this month. The trail bridge which allows walkers to pass over the creek will be repaired and anchored to its base over the next two weeks, weather permitting.

The repairs include rebuilding the ramps to each side of the bridge, deck replacement, and the construction of a new railing system. The work is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 27. An alternative route to provide access around the construction area will be created.
