Major renovations are planned for Peachtree City Elementary school next year. On Sept. 21 the Fayette County Board of Education gave its unanimous approval to begin design plans and bid solicitations for upgrading the school’s media center and adding four classrooms.
A new gymnasium is already pending, so the board’s intention is to save time and money by combining the projects. Bids are expected back in January; construction would start in April or May, and might be finished when school starts in August.
