Marietta is registering for the Citizens’ Government Academy until Feb. 21.

For free, this eight-week course will begin on March 9 for 25 participants.

This course is designed to acquaint Marietta residents and business owners, over the age of 18, with the structure of city government and provide them with information presented by city staff.

Also, the program will feature tours of city facilities “in an entertaining and informative manner,” according to a city statement.

A reception and graduation ceremony will complete the course on May 13 at the Marietta City Council meeting.
