Registration is underway through Feb. 7 for the Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy offered by the Douglasville Police Department.

The free course will begin Feb. 25 for 10 sessions from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

All registrants need to commit to attend all 10 sessions.

During the week of the Douglas County Spring Break from April 6-10, there will not be a class.

Learn how the police department works and what police officers do on a day-to-day basis.

Participants must be 18 years of age and give consent for a background check.

Dinner will be provided.
