Reformation Brewery has announced plans to relocate its main warehouse and production facility from Woodstock to The Mill on Etowah, a redevelopment of former industrial property in historic downtown Canton.

The brewer said it expects to open early next year with an adjoining taproom and events space in more than 20,000 square feet at 141 Railroad St., Canton, a former denim factory being redeveloped by Penn Hodge and Grant Schmeelk.

“It’s not only a unique opportunity to meet our needs for expansion, but also a chance to locate next to the Etowah River and participate in the renewal of a historic mill in the city of Canton,” said Reformation CEO and cofounder Spencer Nix.

“We needed to expand production capacity for some time, and The Mill allows us to meet those needs while also providing a great space for hosting community events,” Nix said. Reformation recently opened an R&D facility and public taproom in downtown Woodstock, which Nix said “will always be home” to the brewer.
