Peachtree City’s main recycling center on Ga. Hwy. 74 South is partially closed for construction. The site remains open during regular hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays but is only accepting yard waste and e-waste for the time being. Residents wanting to recycle paper, glass, plastics and other materials may go to the McIntosh Trail location for drop-offs or recycle materials through their local sanitation companies, which are required to offer free pickup. The construction will not affect the annual spring cleanup in early May; extra collection bins will be provided at Meade Field.
