It’s come to this.

Stone Mountain Park’s Snow Mountain attraction, which gives Georgians a rare opportunity to play in the snow every year, is closing Friday because it’s actually snowing.

All attractions at the park, also including the Christmas display, are shutting down at 2 p.m., a spokeswoman said. There's no word on when they will reopen as snow continues in the forecast and Atlanta area roads quickly deteriorate.

The Snow Mountain closure, as odd as it seems, has happened once already this year, in January when snow threatened the area.
