Fulton County prosecutors Sonja Brown and Leif Howard won a rape conviction Thursday against Eddie Reid, 29.  The 26-year-old victim was hitchhiking on Jonesboro Road in May 2010 when she asked for a ride to a friend's house. Instead Reid bound her hands with duct tape and wire and raped her in an abandoned house, prosecutors said. She later convinced Reid to take her to a hospital to have her wounds  treated. He was arrested after texting her cellphone to ask when to pick her up. Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk sentenced him to life plus 25 years.
