Although Milton is only a few months past its 10th birthday, the north Fulton County city is already the richest in Georgia, according to a recent study.

GoBankingRates.com – a personal finance site – released a list on Thursday of the wealthiest cities in America. It considered real estate values and the median household income in each city.

Following the release of that list, Moneyish.com – a site dedicated to talking about money – identified the richest city in every state based on that data. For Georgia, that city is Milton.

The richest cities in the United States were Chevy Chase, Maryland; Atherton, California; Piney Point, Texas, and Jupiter, Florida.

More information on the rankings and study can be found at moneyish.com and gobankingrates.com.
