An umbrella will come in handy this week, as rain is forecast daily through Friday. The greatest chance for rain will be Tuesday, forecasters said.

Rain chances: Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said the chance of rain is 60 percent Monday, climbing to 90 percent Tuesday. Wednesday's chance of rain is 70 percent, Minton said, followed by a 40 percent chance Thursday and 50 percent chance Friday.

Temperatures about normal: Minton is forecasting afternoon highs in the upper 80s each day this week except Tuesday, when the rain should keep temperatures in the mid-80s. Overnight lows will be around 70 degrees through Friday. Atlanta's normal high for late June is 88, the normal low 70. Check this week's full weather report and track changes.

Rainfall scorecard: Atlanta's 21.54 inches of rain so far this year is 1.87 inches below normal. For the month, the city is .37 inch above normal.
