Railroad maintenance will close portion of SR 11, SR 211 in Winder

CSX Railroad has begun performing maintenance on the railroad crossing on State Route 11/Athens Street. This will close the roadway that carries traffic over the railroad tracks. This closure will last through Friday, traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 11, Business 29 and East Midland Avenue.
The project will continue on Jan. 21, when CSX will close the railroad crossing on State Route 211 to traffic for five days. Traffic will be detoured by way of Atlanta Highway, 8th Street and Broad Street. Clearly marked signage will be placed along with barricades to indicate where the roadway is closed to traffic.
