Norfolk Southern Railroad has begun construction on their railroad tracks at the Suwanee Dam Road and Russell Street crossing in Suwanee. Prep work for the project was completed on Feb. 6. Norfolk Southern has not announced exactly when the railroad will once again close Suwanee Dam Road to complete the work, but drivers are being warned to anticipate closures in the near future.

Suwanee city leaders are in contact with Norfolk Southern to receive prior notification in an effort to alert the public. Police will be on hand to handle the traffic situation.
