Rabid cat found in Lawrenceville

Gwinnett County has issued a rabies alert after a cat found in the Lawrenceville area tested positive for the disease.

The cat was found Oct. 25 on Melody Lane. The county advises anyone who has been bitten or scratched by a stray animal to contact the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare Enforcement Office at 770-339-3200, Ext. 5576.
