Qualifying is set to begin Wednesday for Woodstock’s special municipal election on March 17. Voters will fill the unexpired term of Ward 6 council member Tessa Basford, who passed away in early October.

Interested candidates can qualify 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at the city clerk’s office in the Woodstock City Annex, 12453 Ga. 92.

The winner will serve through Dec. 31. The regular election for Wards 6, 4, and 2 is set for Nov. 3, with the winners serving 4-year terms.
