Gwinnett Commissioners recently approved a $403,000 contract for the purchase of public safety uniforms. The annual contract will provide uniforms for the Departments of Corrections, Fire and Emergency Services, Police Services, and the Sheriff’s Office. Suppliers for the clothing include Dana Safety Supply, Inc., Designlab, Inc., Galls, LLC, Stirling Promotions, Inc., and The Target Group, Inc.

A market analysis conducted by the county revealed a slight increase in the cost of uniforms due to an increase in manufacturing, labor, and freight costs. Through successful negotiations, a cost savings of approximately $1,600 was achieved without any reduction in the scope of the contract.
