Henry County’s public safety agencies were the recent recipients of two donations from Tanger Outlet Center in Locust Grove and a grant from the Georgia Association of Emergency Medical Services.

Tanger allocated $500 each to the police department and fire department, noting publicly that much of its success is due to their help creating a safe environment for merchants and shoppers.

The HCFD funds will go toward a firefighter award banquet and the HCPD money has no restrictions.

The GAEMS grant is in the amount of $47,435.58 and will be used to purchase trauma equipment and general supplies while also funding EMS-related training for department staff.

None of these funds require a county match.
