The Georgia Department of Transportation and Gwinnett County are partnering to conduct a Comprehensive Corridor Study along I-85. The majority of the roughly 18-mile long study area is in Gwinnett.

The study will suggest solutions to reduce congestion, enhance traffic operations, and improve safety along the I-85 corridor. A wide range of potential solutions will be identified with the help of the community. These alternatives will be analyzed and then developed for implementation.

The public can participate during three upcoming public meetings:

• 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 at Best Friend Park, 6224 Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Norcross

• 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at George Pierce Park, 55 Buford Highway in Suwanee

• 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 11 at Lilburn Activity Building, 788 Hillcrest Road in Lilburn
