Public hearing scheduled in Crystal Cove zoning dispute

For the third time in three years the Forsyth County Planning Commission is set to consider whether Bridgepoint Community Networks can build what it describes as a community center on a less than half acre lot in the Crystal Cove Shores subdivision on Lake Lanier in the northern part of the county. Neighbors have organized against the county's granting of a conditional use permit to build the facility they claim is actually a church, and therefore a violation of county zoning. A work session is scheduled July 19, a public hearing July 26.
