Atlanta City Council’s zoning committee is scheduled to have a second reading at its June 14 meeting of an ordinance by councilman Kwanza Hall that would authorize installation of public art at the corner of Irwin and Hilliard Street N.E.

Also on the committee’s agenda are second readings of separate proposed ordinaces to grant certificates under the provisions of the Metropolitan River Protection Act for a new single family house on Rosemary Street N.W. and an addition to an existing single family home on Fabin Street N.W. The river act established a 2000-foot corridor along both banks of the Chattahoochee for the 48 miles between Buford Dam and Peachtree Creek.

Among the committee’s items for first reading are proposed ordinances for special use permits, respectively, for an assisted living facility for property at 129 North Avenue N.E. and for outdoor dining at eating and drinking establishments for property at 1297 McDonough Boulevard S.E.
