The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a rezoning request to develop 161 attached single-family units on Broadway Avenue/Ga. 124 at 7 p.m. March 23 at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53.

The proposed townhomes would be on about 21.5 acres at Broadway Avenue and Josh Pirkle Road. The townhomes would be clustered around several large, shared greenspaces, with 44 percent of the site left for open space. The proposal suggests the area would “create a transition between the more intense manufacturing uses and proposed mixed-use” the area is anticipating.

Following the planning commission review of the proposal, Braselton’s mayor and town council will hold a public hearing on the same request at 4 p.m. April 9.
