Authorities are looking for the man who was spotted with a loaded gun after a DeKalb County school's open house Wednesday night, Channel 2 Action News reported.

DeKalb school police said the principal at Towers High School noticed a suspicious person after the event and asked him to leave. According to the police report obtained by Channel 2, Donevin Hoskins, the principal, saw the man drop a skull cap on the ground and a loaded pistol was inside it. When Hoskins tried to grab the cap, a struggle ensued before the man fled the scene without the weapon.

Authorities have footage of the man captured by cameras in the school's hallways and are working to identify him.

The AJC has requested a copy of that surveillance video. The principal declined to comment on the incident Friday.
